This is a topic where one can pot his own poems; I'll start, with my first poem, written in Romanian and translated by me in English; It is quite romantic, I must say I evolved very much from that style, but this poem is engraved deep in my heart especially because it's the first one... Also, it is the only one I translated, until now at least

Wish

Oh, that thou love me I’d like thou to say,
So my call shall not be in vain;
That we’d be together day after day
Whisper to my ear again.

Why do thy eyes melt down
When I tell thee love words?
Sparkle stars on the black sky unknown,
But I other two suns search restless…

Behold them! Come… let me kiss them,
Most beloved,
And in moon’s pale light embrace me thou shall
Until the beginning of to-morrow release me not, when,
Smiling, say that never would thou cry again.

I desire to kiss thy half-opened mouth,
On the bed of roses thou my bride will be;
My will is thy sole and life in mine to breath
And both but one wish to be.

Fall over my thirsty face
Thy chestnut hair long,
Like of a cello harmonies and grace
That make my love chord sing.

Take out my breath in thy reborn love;
We won’t be ourselves; but each
To be the other one’s we live
In this magic moment, in happiness so rich.

Gently shall sough the bed-sheet
Covering our naked bodies
Out of which thou removed the last shirt,
Out of which I removed the last thoughts.

Ah! After our final spasm,
When time stopped and night peeked
To see the miracle of the creature,
Yes… I realize that now I know thy inspired mind,
Freed from thy cage of fear.

I love thee, oh, gem so rare,
And behold a new day, the sun rises out of snow;
We shall go out with our warm love pure
And we shall melt the world’s ice that thou can see so…

thank you! I still am quite frustrated because I wasn't able to translate properly, and one stanza is almost completly without rhime... of course, in Romanian that one sounds much better
