i just thought this would be a good way to start posting. so here it goes... :whistle:

hi, everyone! my name is joana (but u can call me joey), i'm 15 and i'm from portugal. i love music, it's my life. i play keyboards, and i'm learning to play guitar. my favourite bands besides evanescence are pearl jam, nirvana, alice in chains, pagoda, pink floyd, temple of the dog, smashing pumpkins, green river, mother love bone, jane's addiction, mudhoney, screaming trees... ok, so a lot of bands. :-D

i love watching movies, drawing, taking pictures, hanging around with my friends...

well, i'm hoping to have fun here with everyone. see around the forums!

My name is Tudor, I'm almost 18 and from Romania. I intend to do medicine, but music is also an important part of my life. I play the piano and this is the 3rd year I conduct a choir. My favourite bands are Within Temptation, Evanescence, HIM. I am passionate, impulsive, wide-minded, non-conformist, a little bit nuts.

I quite enjoy life (though I'm totaly unhappy with my actual life...). I like having fun with my frinds etc, etc...

well, now we're reversing carols for the season we're entering. And yes, I have in plan some Mozart for spring (Ave Verum and Lacrymosa, I'm sure you heard of the last).

I heard it's superbe in Portugal, I've never been there though. I've only been to Spain, that I liked really much. Have u ever been to Spain?

no i haven't been to spain. i never got out of this country to be honest. :-/

about it being nice here, well... it's really awesome for tourists. i went on a trip around the south with some friends. it's cool. if u ever come here, u should go to the chapel of bones in évora. really creepy. *shivers*

but i don't live there. i live in some portuguese islands named azores. u probably never heard of them.

i know both ave verum and lacrymosa (what ev fan doesn't right?). my favourite mozart piece right now is fantasia. very melodic. have u ever heard it?

I think I heard of Fantasia, though it doesn't pop out of my mind roght now.

And yes, I certainly heard of the Azores Islands. I know that they are very, very exotic, isn't it so? Must b wonderful 2 live there... 8-)

i'm surprised.

well, they're not exotic to me cause i've lived here all my life. they might be to you though. there are a lot of lagoons, black sand beaches and dead vulcanos. stuff like that.
it's nice to live here, yea. no polution (mostly), everything's very calm... no good concerts available though. :weep:

bands normally do a show in lisbon and they're off to another country, and there's not much chance for me to get a plane ticket to the mainland everytime there's a concert. i can't believe i missed pearl jam when they were here! :'-(

still, there's been some nice tribute bands at the coliseum lately.

u should listen to fantasia. as far as i know, it's only a piano solo, so it probably won't do much for your choir. but it's still beautiful. very light, dreamy and... i don't know, flowy.
